Welcome to CSA...
CSA is an close-knit collection of soaring enthusiasts whose arms are always open to new members and to those who may just be curious about what soaring is all about.
Who We Are
The Coastal Soaring Association (CSA) is a private, 501(c7) non-profit organization that's dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of the sport of soaring.
CSA is an affiliate club of the Soaring Society of America (SSA) and everyone operating CSA equipment is required to have a current SSA membership. Some of our pilots are novice students who've just started in aviation. Some are expert pilots with decades of aviation experience behind them. We currently number around 40 members.
The CSA is dedicated to training and advancing pilots beyond the basics of soaring. Whether this is your first flight or your thousandth, you're welcome in our midst.
Find us at Coastal Airport: - 20 minutes away from downtown Pensacola and 5 minutes off of I-10 Exit 5 at 6001 W 9 Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32526

Brianna’s Blanik TakeoffAn Invitation
We have a standing invitation to all - come fly with us and see how close you are to an affordable and exciting activity that we guarantee will set you apart from your peers. At the CSA we offer first rate training in the safe and simple art of flying gliders.
If you think you have to be an adult with an extensive background in aviation to be successful - consider this: The FAA has set the minimum age for flying solo in a glider at 14-years-old. That in itself says it all...
All you have to do is contact us and schedule a $50.00 introductory flight. After that, if you find yourself "hooked" - and you probably will... all you do is join the Coastal Soaring Association and we'll take it from there - working with you to schedule training in all the facets of club membership and airfield operation and flying..
Members of CSA come from all walks of life, young and old, and from all over the panhandle of Florida and southeast Alabama such as Panama City, Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Crestview, Ft. Walton, Foley, Mobile and even farther afield...
