About Us
COASTAL SOARING ASSOCIATION is not a commercial business.
We are a social flying club of individuals who share a love of motorless flight, and we are open to everyone.
Our members span a large range of ages and experience. We have fighter pilots, airline pilots, and first-time pilots. We offer flight instruction. The minimum age to solo a glider is 14, and no FAA medical exam is required. We do our best to keep costs low by doing most upkeep ourselves. Members volunteer their time to do everything from flight instruction to changing tires.
We don't keep fixed hours, but you will find us flying most weekends and a few weekdays if the weather is right. Contact us to check our schedule to see when you can soar with us.
NEW LOCATION:
Find us at Walnut Hill Airport at 8471 Railroad Rd, Walnut Hill, Florida. Take the gravel road paralleling the railroad tracks and you'll find our hangar. Our club operates on a grass strip surrounded by beautiful farm land.

INTRO FLIGHTS
If you're interested in learning what flying gliders is all about, or know someone who is, this is a great opportunity to experience the thrill of soaring like an eagle. CSA offers introductory flights that will take you through preflight, launch behind a tow plane, 25 to 45 minutes of flying, a safe and exciting approach, landing, and debrief. The price is $125, and gift certificates are available.
